THROWBACK THURSDAY: Nelly, P. Diddy & Murphy Lee - Shake Ya Tailfeather

This song just takes me back. It's bitter sweet, really, but I remember rapping with my two best friends every part to this song. We used to ask each other what part we wanted to be before the song and we would all rap a different verse. This shit was my jam back in the day, I miss it.

9 times out of ten, I hate the song if it's some lame ass youtube remix. Like the Charles Barkley or hide yo kids hide yo wife video, idiotic. This on the other hand has some musical talent behind it. So, this Thursday we're throwin' you back to toddler days. Enjoy your, hard r, throwback Thursday.

Summer's here, and so are summer girls. This song proves how great 90's music was in one line: "Billy Shakespeare wrote a whole buncha sonnets." BAM. LYRIC GOLD.

THROWBACK THURSDAY: Outkast - Roses

God damn was this my jam back in the day. I miss this shit. Remember when this was hip-hop and popular music? Not this Justin Beiber and Ke$$$hhaaa shit we have now. How creative was this whole album. Outkast was the group, it was two dudes: Andre 3000 & Big Boi, divided into the jock clan (speakerboxx) and the theatre kids (the love below). The result: the perfect clash of badass and and heart throb. It's like if Rick Ross and Ne-Yo made a collabo album. I absolutely love the music video too. So creative, so good. It's a damn shame that the hip-hop industry isn't like this any more. Paula Abdul and Kat Williams as cameo and Kat ends up with the girl. 

THROWBACK THURSDAY: City High - What Would You Do?

So, what the hell happened to these guys? This is an actually meaningful song that was still popular and catchy but somehow these guys never stayed around. Makes me wonder if this lead singer ended up dancing for dollars now, that'd be ironic. One more day til the freakin' weekend. Cheers to that.

Classic. Throw this on at your party, instant blackout. I could have sworn that they said "Irene" and not Eileen...

THROWBACK THURSDAY: The White Stripes - Icky Thump

In case you haven't noticed, pretty much every tbt post I've ever heard is that song that you play at like 11:30 at a party when every one is drunk as hell, and it just turns the party into an all out ragefest. Like this for instance, this is a guaranteed air guitar on the bar.

Well it was Green Beer Day in Oxford, Ohio yesterday and this guy came to my frat house and performed in the basement. He tore that shit down with a bomb ass guitar solo at the end of this song. So, it's only appropriate I post this as my (late) Throwback Thursday.

No idea when I stopped listening to this song. Perfect song to bust out at a party when no one is expecting it and play air guitar on top of the bar... not that I've done that or anything.

THROWBACK THURSDAY: Queen - Fat Bottom Girls

Not only do I appreciate the vocals of Freddie Mercury whom is known to be one of the best vocalists of any rock group ever, but I also enjoy the irony of him singing this song. For those whom are less "cultured" and have no idea why it's ironic, Freddie Mercury was a homosexual. Happy hard r/ throwback Thursday y'all.

I always thought of this as such an odd duo but it works so well. I'm a fan of the hip-hop/metal mashups like the Linkin' Park and Jay-Z collabo album. By the way, whatever happened to Dem Franchize Boyz?
